Learning to Cook, Learning to Connect
At Grimes Dyke Primary School, NSPN funding is helping parents and carers build the skills they need to prepare healthy, affordable meals from scratch, together.
Morley Victoria Primary School
Cooking Club & Family Meal Support
NSPN funding is helping Morley Victoria Primary School run a vibrant after-school Cooking Club, where children learn practical cooking skills while preparing an evening meal for themselves and their families.
Dinnington Community Primary School
Accessible Pantry for Everyday Essentials
Dinnington Community Primary School uses NSPN funding to stock a pantry of essential tinned, dried, and jarred goods such as pasta, rice, beans, tuna, cereals, and fruit. The pantry runs twice weekly for different year groups after drop-off, with parents able to request items if they cannot attend.
Dixons Unity Academy
A Community Pantry with Choice and Connection
At Dixons Unity Academy, NSPN funding is enhancing the school’s existing family support offer. The pantry acts as a gateway to wider support, including heating and finance advice, and links with local organisations such as Yum Kitchen and the New Wortley Community Centre.
New Bewerley Community School
Choice, Accessibility and Family Support
NSPN funding is being used to enhance the school’s existing food support offer. Each week, the school collects donated staples such as tinned pulses, chickpeas and lentils, while NSPN funding enables families to access additional essentials.
