We are delighted to announce that the National School Pantry Network has been selected as a finalist in the Invest In A Teacher initiative a global platform supporting projects created by winners and finalists of the Global Teacher Prize, often called the “Nobel Prize for Teaching.”

This recognition places the NSPN among some of the most innovative and high-impact education initiatives from across the planet. With over 400 Global Teacher Prize ambassadors in 80+ countries, the programme shines a light on how educators are transforming the lives of young people through creative, community-led solutions.

The NSPN was established to give schools a clear, structured pathway to provide dependable, dignified, culturally aware food support for families. At a time when more schools than ever are providing food aid, the Network offers practical guidance, expert support and funding so schools can meet the needs of vulnerable families with confidence and care.

Nathan Atkinson, Global Teacher Prize Ambassador & NSPN Co-Founder, shares:

“This recognition is a powerful moment for the National School Pantry Network. As a Global Teacher Prize ambassador, I’ve seen how innovative ideas led by teachers can change lives. The NSPN is built on that same belief, that when schools are equipped to meet the basic needs of their community, children can thrive. We’re honoured to be part of this global movement for change.”

Being selected for Invest In A Teacher opens the door for new partnerships and investment, helping us reach more schools and strengthen support for thousands of families.
